What is freeze-dried candy? (technical version)

Freeze-dried candy is regular candy that goes through the process of sublimation. This process converts water from a solid to a gas without going through the liquid stage.

Freeze-drying takes all the water out of candy to make it light, airy and super crunchy. It also elevates all the flavors to make it extra tasty.

Do you use High Fructose Corn Syrup?

No, we never use high fructose corn syrup. We only use light corn syrup.

What is Light Corn Syrup? How is it different from High Fructose Corn Syrup?

Light corn syrup is a natural sweetener derived from cornstarch that was invented in the early 1800s. It has been used extensively in home kitchens since 1910.  Light corn syrup is 100% glucose.

High fructose corn syrup goes through a refinement process to convert the glucose to fructose. High levels of fructose have been linked to diabetes, obesity, other health issues.

Do you have any vegan options?

We do not currently have vegan options, but they are actively in development.

Absolutely! We love getting new ideas from our customers. If we use your suggestion, we promise to include you in the RnD process and load you up on bags of that flavor!
